To what extent do you feel a sense of belonging in the unit in which you work?
The majority of staff (80 percent) feel at least a moderate sense of belonging to their unit; 20 percent feel a small/very small extent of belonging.
To what extent do you feel a sense of belonging to ISU overall?
The overall mean is 3.01, which is .45 lower than unit belonging.
Workload
How would you rate your work-life integration?
- The mean of the respondents’ rating of work-life integration is 3.15.
- While the majority (77%) of respondents find their work-life integration to be acceptable or better, 23% rated their work-like integration as either poor or below average.

- The mean of the respondents’ rating of workload is 7.28.
- Two percent rated with a 1, 2, or 3 (indicating a light workload) while 50 percent rated an 8, 9, or 10 (heavy workload).

• The mean rating of how respondents feel their colleagues in their department or unit value their work is 7.29.
• Eight percent rated with a 1, 2, or 3 while 57 percent rated an 8, 9, or 10.
